A New day in the Community of Mafambisa……. It was lovely seeing the care workers and children from last year who were delighted to see us returning once again. For my Holy Home Visit (where we go out with one of the careworkers and visit the children in their homes who have not attended the care point for a few days). I asked if I could go and visit a very special lady whom I have visited and have been praying for now for the past 2 years. When we arrived at her home she came out and gave me a big smile and a hug to match!. It was great to see her finally free of her enforced period of mourning and now all colourful and smiling…… God is good!
She shared with us that times are really hard for her and her 3 children with no money coming in and little to no food. She told us how her 2 youngest children had gone to the Hands at Work Care Point this morning with empty stomachs. She has no South African papers therefore cannot get a job. She can therefore only get occasional casual work. She also struggles to pay her children’s school fees (£9 per child per year!!). This is where Hands at Work step in (and we can too!). Her children will also get a hot meal each day at the care point. She asked us to pray for her and her family for food, schooling and a job for her.
Can you join me in upholding her in prayer
